Welcome to TeamChefs.tv.

We prioritise the privacy and security of everyone who uses our website and services. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share information gathered about you in connection with your use of our website, services, and products.

TeamChefs.tv is part of the Techembrace brand.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

When you contact us, create an account, purchase our services, or participate in our forums and social media channels, we may collect personal information, including but not limited to:

  1. Name
  2. Contact details (email address, phone number)
  3. Payment information
  4. Professional details (affiliation, job title)*

*Only consultancy or instructors

It’s important to note that services that come with consultancy or instructors tend to offer more value and personalised attention which requires us to collect more information about them.

b. Usage Information

Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our host keeps basic technical logs for security; see sections 4 to 6. Some pages show content from other companies. Section 4 explains which.

2. How We Use Your Information and Our Lawful Basis

We only use personal information where UK data-protection law gives us a lawful basis. The table shows each purpose, the information involved and the lawful basis we rely on.

Purpose Information Lawful basis

Where we rely on legitimate interests, our interest is to answer the people who contact us, and to keep our website secure and working reliably. We have balanced these interests against your rights and keep a record of that assessment.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

3. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as our website host (Vercel) and our email provider (Brixly)
  • To comply with legal obligations or in response to legal process

4. How This Website Handles Your Data

  • Contact form: when you submit the contact form, the details you enter (name, email address, organisation, service of interest and message) are processed by a Vercel Function, which sends them to our mailbox through our email provider, Brixly. The website itself does not store your enquiry. See section 6 for how long we keep enquiries.
  • Course interest form: if you register interest in a course, we use your name and email address to email you once when that course opens. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (you asked us to). We do not add you to a mailing list. We delete your details after sending that email, or after 12 months if the course has not opened.
  • Cookies and tracking: this website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. To return you to the same place on a page when you press Back, your browser’s temporary session storage holds scroll positions only. This contains no information about you and is deleted when you close the tab.
  • Videos and pictures from other companies: some pages show a video from YouTube (owned by Google). We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which is designed not to store tracking cookies on your device until you play the video. The video loads when the page opens, so Google can see your IP address and browser details. See Google’s privacy policy for what it does with them. Our credential badges are served from our own content delivery network, Bunny CDN, which also receives your IP address when the pictures load. If we add a 360° tour, we will name its provider here first.
  • AI assistant: when switched on, questions you type are sent to an AI provider to generate an answer. Conversations are not saved by this website. Please do not share personal details in the chat.

5. Website Hosting and International Transfers

Our website is hosted using Vercel. Depending on how a website feature is configured, Vercel may process technical information such as IP addresses, request information, device information, security logs and information submitted through website forms on our behalf.

We have set the website’s server functions, which process contact form enquiries and course interest registrations, to run in Vercel’s London region.

Vercel and some of its subprocessors may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, safeguards may include the UK International Data Transfer Addendum used with the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, an applicable UK adequacy regulation, or another transfer mechanism permitted under UK data-protection law.

Vercel also applies contractual, organisational and technical security measures to customer data and requires relevant subprocessors to undertake appropriate data-protection obligations. Further information about these safeguards may be requested by contacting us.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

Enquiries: We normally retain general enquiry emails and related correspondence for up to 12 months after the enquiry has been closed. This allows us to respond to follow-up questions and maintain an appropriate record of our communications. We may delete information earlier when it is no longer needed.

If an enquiry results in a contract, purchase or formal business relationship, relevant correspondence may be transferred to the customer record and retained for up to six years after the relationship or transaction ends, where necessary for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.

Course interest registrations: deleted after we send the email telling you the course has opened, or after 12 months if the course has not opened.

Website logs: technical request logs held by our website host, Vercel (such as IP address, browser, page and time), are kept for 1 day and then deleted automatically.

We may retain information for longer where required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or requested by a regulatory authority. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Data Security

We implement measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Service.

8. User Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or transfer your personal information, subject to certain conditions. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
